When St. Francis of the Fields Primary School announced plans to build an Early Learning Centre, they emphasised the development must be economical, durable and environmentally sustainable. The $950, 000 project was backed by a State Government grant of $650,000 and additionally supported by St. Therese’s Parish.
With an impeccable reputation and two other large projects successfully completed for this client, Pretect was a logical choice of builder to design and construct a prefab Kindergarten. Sustainability was a key outcome for this project which Pretect achieved with:
- A central area with a 6.5m tall ceiling that floods the internal space of the building with natural light and reduces electricity consumption.
- The use of largely green construction materials off-site production that minimises disturbances to the natural environment.
